D'Anne Rech Gugler
D'Anne Rech, daughter of Allen and Marjorie Rech, was born October 15, 1940
in Wichita, Kansas. In 1946, when she was five-years old, she moved with her
parents and baby sister, Lynette, to Woodbine. She attended Woodbine Grade and
High School, graduating in 1958. After attending Kansas Wesleyan University
in Salina one year, D'Anne married Clyde Gugler, son of Phillip and Dorothy
Gugler on June 7, 1959. Clyde is a farmer-stockman, and they live six miles
north of Woodbine.
Clyde and D'Anne have four children - Lori, born November 13, 1960; Brent,
born September 24, 1962; Shelli, born May 28, 1967; and Kerri, born August 18,
1970. Lori is maried to Wayne Chesteman, and they have a son, Mark, born
October 25, 1986. Lori works at the school administration building in Junction
City and they live west of Junction City on Highway 18. Brent attended NCKVT in
Beloit majoring in farm equipment mechanics and is farming with Clyde. He lives
on the Clarence Dueker place northwest of Woodbine. Shelli attended Colby
Community College graduating in May, 1987 with a degree in animal hospital
technology. Kerri is a student at Chapman High School.
Clyde and D'Anne and family are active members of the Lyona United
Methodist Church. All of their children have been members of the Jolly Jay-
hawkers 4-H Club in Woodbine.
