Royce T. Harold
Royce (Tom) Harold, his wife, Myrtle G. (Jackie) Harold and their three children,
John, Jamie and Robert, moved from Junction City, Kansas to Woodbine in April of 1976.
Tom and Jackie rented June Buckles trailer and then bought the old Jahnke place
east of the tracks. They left Woodbine for a few months and came back with a 14 x 70
mobile home which was totally destoryed by fire. We had decided to leave Woodbine at
that time, but the people of Woodbine showed us the kind of community that they are.
With their help we decided to stay here.
Our children went to school in Woodbine until its closing with the exception of
John, who went to Hope.
Tom is a painter and carpenter. Jackie loves to do arts and crafts. Jackie has
plans to open a small gift and book shop in Woodbine.
John has recently moved to Georgia. Jamie lives in Herington. He is engaged to
Dawn Marie Pariseau of Herington and they plan to be married June 29, 1988. Robert
still lives at home and is going to school at Hope.
