Harve Hettenbach Family
Harve and Elizabeth Westrup Hettenbach were married September 25, 1922,
and raised their family on a farm northwest of Woodbine, in the Liberty
Center community. They had four children.
Dale, born January 2, 1923, married Elaine Martsolf November 12, 1950.
They live south of Abilene. They are the parents of three daughters. Connie
and family live in Salina. Judy and Kenneth Bennett and son live in Miami,
Florida. Linda is living in Emporia.
Lowell, born September 9, 1924, married Helen Smith December 24, 1947.
They live in Abilene. Mary and Jay Ramey and daughter live in Abilene. Karen
and Joe Higgins live in Wichita.
Warren, born April 7, 1926, married Redella Timm onn September 17, 1950.
They had four children. Gary and Pam and family live in Wichita. Larry and
Stephanie live east of Salina. Cindy and George Erichsen live near Junction
City. Sandy is living in Manhattan. Warren died March 22, 1968 after heart
surgery. Redella married Robert Lay December 27, 1980. They live east of
Enterprise.
Gladys, born March 16, 1934, married Loren Peck on June 1, 1952. They
live west of Pearl and are the parents of two children. Merle and Delores
and family live near Pearl. Nancy and Gailen Avery live northwest of Junction
City.
Elizabeth graduated from Woodbine High School in 1921. They moved from
the farm into Woodbine in 1951. Elizabeth passed away July 18, 1966 and is
buried in the Enterprise Cemetery. Harve continued to live in Woodbine until
1975 when he moved to Enterprise Estates to make his home, living there until
he passed away on January 15, 1985. He is buried in the Enterprise Cemetery.
