Fred A. Kandt and Sophia (Schlesener) were married February 21, 1909. He
  was a farmer all his life. He served on the Woodbine Farmers Union Elevator
  board for many years. He was a charter member of the Woodbine Co_Op Telephone
  Company and served on this board for many years.
       Mr. and Mrs. Kandt and all four of their children were born in Section 14,
  Union Township, Dickinson County, Kansas.
       Their children were Roy (deceased) who served 33 months overseas in World
  War II. He made his home in Wyoming and Colorado. Roy had two children, Larry
  and Janice.
       Rose, who now lives on the Kandt farm, married Glen Bernhardt (deceased),
  a barber at Ramona, Kansas. They had a son, Willis.
       Mabel married Edgar Henricks (deceased) and had four sons, Dean, Maurice
  (deceased), Wayne and Vernon.
       Marjorie, who lives at Augusta, had three children, JIm, Victor, and
  Laura.
       Fred passed away in 1955 and Sophia in 1965.
