Glenn J. Kandt married Wilma Bowyer of Rt. 2, Chapman at Shadybrook
Immanuel Lutheran Church June 1, 1952. They have two children, Colleen
Marie and Kevin Eric who both graduated from Woodbine Grade School.
Colleen is now married to James Neely and they live at Chanute with
their four children, Amber, Wendy, Jay and Britt. Jim works for the Farm

projects.
Kevin is a graduate of the University of Missouri-Kansas City and

Glenn played men's softball in his high school years and for a time
after he was married. He enjoyed playing third base on the Woodbine
men's softball team. He farms south of Woodbine going to the service in
1955, then returning to farm in the Woodbine area in August 1958, and
later working at Ft. Riley as an electrician, which he now does. Glenn
and his wife, Wilma, have lived in Woodbine since 1958.
Colleen and Kevin both delivered the Wichita Sunday paper. Colleen
rode her horse to deliver papers sometimes. Also she enjoyed playing on
the Woodbine girls' softball team.
Kevin enjoyed roaming the farm belonging to his grandfather, Herman
Kandt and father on Lyon's Creek south of Woodbine, looking for arrow heads
and Indian artifacts of the Woodland Indians that hunted and cleaned their
game there many years ago.
