Fred Lueker
Fred and Augusta (Kandt) Lueker were married on June 14, 1906. Their
children were Esther, Clemens, Werner, Amanda, and Katherine. They moved
to Woodbine around 1934 from a farm in the Shady Brook area. They lived
where the Earl Burris mobile home is now located.
Later, they moved to a farm just across the highway, north of town,
where they operated a dairy. In 1940 they sold the dairy to their son Clem,
and his wife, Florence, and moved to Herington, where they retired. Fred
passed away February 9, 1958, and August passed away February 21, 1956.
Fred Lueker's parents, Fred Sr. and Mary Lueker, lived where the Robert
Smith fami8ly now lives. In their later years, they moved in with their son,
Fred and Augusta Lueker, on the farm in the Shady Brook area. Fred Sr. passed
away while living on the farm on March 28, 1926. Mary, his wife, passed away
while living with Fred and Augusta on the dairy, December 24, 1937.
