Gilbert Martinitz married Leota Timm October 12, 1927. Gilbert passed
  away September 3, 1971.
       Gilbert was the son of John and Bertha Martinitz.
       Leota was born August 8, 1906, daughter of Frank and Anna Rusch Timm. 
  She graduated from Woodbine High School in 1926.
       They lived and farmed in the Lyona Community for 35 years and sold
  their farm to Clyde Gugler in 1959 and moved to Woodbine. They lived in
  Woodbine for nine years. Leota spent her remaining eight years in Abilene
  and passed away January 16, 1987.
       Their children are: Arlene Martinitz Kohman of Abilene; Lee Martinitz
  of Chapman; Eugene Martinitz of Abilene; Violet Martinitz Lehner of Strasburg,
  Colorado; Paul Martinitz of Woodbine; Donna Martinitz Macoubrie of Abilene.
