George Middleton came to this area before Woodbine was founded. He hauled
  freight to the store in Lyons.
       George and Rosetta Middleton were married in June 1882. They bought the
  family farm, which is southwest of town, in 1883.
       They had four children: James W. Middleton, Eleanor Middleton Mitsch (Mrs.
  George Mitsch), Arthur Middleton, Cyrena Middleton Breckbill. Cyrena was Edna
  Breckbill's mother. Edna stayed with the Middletons after her mother died. She 
  attended the Woodbine schools and graduated in 1934.
       Rosetta had two children by a previous marriage. Joseph Garrett and Lillie
  Garrett Ahrens.
       George and Rosetta lived a full life caring for friends and family.
