Henry Peck Family
The Peck family moved to a farm northeast of Woodbine from the Hope community
in 1946. In 1951 they moved to a farm in the Lyona community, and later moved to a
farm south of Junction City, where Edna still lives. Henry and Edna Schweitzer Peck
were the parents of five children.
Joan and her husband, James Alexander, live in New Summerfield, Texas. He is
retired from the Texas Power & Light Company. Joan had one son, Don, from a previous
marriage. Don Hawthorne and his wife Diana have two sons and live in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Jerry and his wife Lucile live south of Junction City. They have two daughters.
Gayle lives in Junction City. Linda and her husband, Michael Moffenbier live in
Dodge City. They ahve a son Ryan and a daughter Lindsey.
Loren and his wife Gladys live west of Pearl. They have two children. Merle and
his wife Delores live near Pearl. They have a son Jason and a daughter Marla. Nancy
and her husband Gailen Avery live northwest of Junction City.
Ray was killed in a car accident in 1977. His widow, Mary, married Delbert
Oesterreich. They live near Woodbine. Ray and Mary had one son, Nolan. Nolan and his
wife Sandra live west of Dwight. Nolan has a son, Cory, from a previous marriage, and
two step-daughters.
Faye and her husband Marshall Heath live south of Junction City. Faye works in
the meat department of Dillons in Junction City. Faye has one step-daugther. Gwenn
and her husband Gaylon Schoffner live west of Junction City. They have two daughters.
Henry Peck passed away in October 1966 and is buried in the Milford Cemetery.
The Peck sons all followed their father in the farming occupation.
