Glenn G. Peterson
Glenn Peterson, wife Wilma and daughter Patricia, age 3 years, moved to Woodbine
in 1933. They bought the stock and fixtures of the drug store from Roy Johnson. They
lived in the back part of the store building a few years, then moved to the Brussow
house. Later they moved to Mrs. Cornwell's house on Main Street.
They carried all the water for the store and the living quarters from the hand
pump in the middle of the main intersection.
In 1937, Glen became teh Standart Oil agent and operated both businesses until
1940 when they sold the drug store to the Kahles. In 1941 they moved to Michigan.
Glenn says he lived in Woodbine for a memorable 8 years among the nicest, most
friendly people he ever met.
The Kahles were Wilma Peterson's mother and stepfather. Her twin sisters, Neta
and Neva, operated the store.
