Mr. and Mrs. (Katie) Carl Rech retired from their farm near Howard, Kansas in 
  1957 and moved to Woodbine to be near their son, Allen, and his family.
       Mr. Rech enjoyed helping Allen in the lumber yard. Carl passed away in August
  1963 in the same car-truck accident that took the life of his son.
       Katie has remained a resident of Woodbine. she celebrated her 90th birthday in
  July of 1986.
