Rhiney and Doris Riffel
Rhiney Riffel, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jake Riffel and Doris Brehm, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Edw. Brehm are both graduates of Woodbine High School and lived in
Woodbine after their marriage.
Rhiney was manager of the Farmers Union Elevator from 1934 to June 1941. He
resigned and moved to Hoisington until September the same year, coming back to
Woodbine to take over as Standard Oil Bulk agent. In May 1957 they moved to
Pattawatomie County where they purchased and managed a motel.
Their children Judy and Tom also attended school in Woodbine. Rhiney and
Doris now live near Junction City.
