Harvey J. Riffel, son of Joseph and Mary Riffel of Woodbine, was married to
  Ruth E. Schmidt, daughter of Frank and Mabel Schmidt, on February 3, 1940.
       Harvey attended Woodbine High School and graduated in 1933. Harvey was in
  the grain business until he retired in 1981. The first elevator he operated was
  the Shady Brook elevator during harvest. He also managed the Farmers Union Co-op
  elevator in Woodbine for a time.
       Ruth also attended Woodbine schools, taking part in many musical events.
       Harvey and Ruth have three daughters who all attended school in Woodbine.
       Karen married Dean McMullen. They have two sons, one daughter, and one
  grandson. Karen lives in Great Bend, Kansas. 
       Jo Lynne has two sons and works afor Eastern Texas State, Commerce, Texas.
       Jandela married Edward Farry, Jr. and has one son. She lives in Colorado
  Springs.
       Harvey and Ruth now live in Herington, Kansas.
