Leroy R. Schindel and Mildred Gugler were married February 4, 1924. They always
  lived in and around Woodbine.
       They had four chldren, Carmen, Ardith, Charlene, and Meryl.
       Leroy passed away after a long illness on October 28, 1933.
       Mildred made her home with her parents and worked for many years as a nurse's 
  aide.
       Her children all attended Woodbine Grade and High School and were members of
  the Methodist Chruch.
       Carmen married David Christensen; they had one daughter Janet. They lived in
  Delaware and after they divorced she moved back to Woodbine. She was married to
  Harold Rindt. He died December 7, 1982.
       Ardith married Bobby Bailey. They live in Radcliff, Kentucky. Ardith will soon
  retire after working for the government for 35 years.
       Charlene, a graduate nurse, married Redford Smith of Gove, Oklahoma. They now
  live in Mulvane. They have three children, all married, who live with their families 
  in and near Mulvane, Kansas.
       Meryl graduated from Chapman High School. He spent four years in the U.S. Navy. 
  He married Leta Scragg of West Salem, West Virginia. They have three sons who are all
  married. Meryl and his wife live in Silver Springs, Maryland.
