Ferdinand Timm
Ferdinand August Bernhard Timm was born in Germany, October 19, 1851. He came to the
United States with his parents, Peter and Caroline Timm, at the age of four. His parents
first settled in Wisconsin, later coming to Dickinson County, Kansas. Ferdinand Timm was
a charter member of the Lyona Church and later became a member of the Woodbine Methodist
Church.
He married Rosina Fiedler February 24, 1876. They lived where Wayne Knopp now lives.
They were the parents of nine children.
When their oldest son married they moved into Woodbine (about 1913) and lived where
Melvin Williamsons now live.
Rosina died in March 1926 and Ferdinand died in March 1939.
