Brad and Anita Warnica
Brad C. Warnica was born January 22, 1958 in Abilene, Kansas. He attended school in
Abilene, was in the Boy Scouts and 4-H. In 1972, he moved with his family to Woodbine.
He attended Hope High School and graduated from Chapman High School in 1976.
In 1979 Brad married Anita D. Schroeder, who was born in Herington, Kansas on July
19, 1961, and graduated from Herington High School in 1979.
They decided to settle in the Woodbine community because of the slower pace of life,
and the ideal areas for hunting and fishing.
They purchased a trailer in Woodbine, until they foud a home on the outskirts of
town, which they moved to in April of 1985. The five lots of land make it possible for
Brad's hobby of bee keeping right at home. It also leaves plenty of room for gardening,
which they both enjoy. The summer months are spent with Brad tending his bees and a little
fishing and camping thrown in.
The winter months are spent with Brad coon hunting, which is one of his favorite
hobbies, and just about any other kind of hunting there is.
Brad now works with Eugene Fells Construction, where he enjoys working out-of-doors.
Anita works with Brad's mother at the Ceramic Cottage in Herington, Kansas. They have
both been involved in the Fourth of July Committee, and later the Woodbine Boosters for
seven years.
