Loren Wendt
Loren Wendt was born in Woodbine, Kansas. He moved to Ontario, California in 1941.
He and Betty were married in 1947. They have two married sons and two grandsons.
He joined the Mr. San Antonio College as director, community relations in August
1985.
Loren worked for the gas company from 1947 until he retired in February 1984. He
held positions which included meterman, accounting supervisor, and staff assignments
in budgets and reports, personnel, supervisor of employee benefits, employee activities
coordinator, and supervisor of personnel services for Pacific Lighting Corporation. At
the time of his retirement he was the district manager for the gas company with respon-
ibility for eleven cities - Azuza, Baldwin Park, Bradbury, Covina, Duarte, Glendora,
Irwindale, Monrovia, San Dimas, Walnut and West Covina.
His hobbies include western history (former sheriff of the San Dimas Westerner's
Corral - and still a member - and also member of the Los Angeles Corral of the Westerner's).
He also enjoys fishing, cooking, and magic. Loren has given nearly 8,000 magic shows for
local schools, church, and community groups since beginning that hobby nearly 50 years ago.
