Henry Rudolph Westrup

       Henry Rudolph Westrup was the son of Arnold and Elizabeth Shultz Westrup. He was born in 
  Hoerston, Hanover, Germany on March 13, 1835. He came to America with his parents when he
  was nine years old. They settled in Batesville, Ricpley County, Indiana. Her he was 
  married to Elizabeth Siek on March 25, 1858. Elizabeth was born on June 17, 1836 in 
  Hettinghausen, Hanover, Germany.
       Henry and Elizabeth came to Kansas in 1859 settling on Lyons Creed in Davis County
  (now Geary County) 12 miles south of Junction City. Later they moved to a farm on Carry
  Creek four miles north of Woodbine (Harold Gugler farm). Henry lived here until his death
  on January 8, 1896. Elizabeth died on August 22, 1902. Both are buried in the Lyona
  cemetery.
       Henry and Elizabeth had 12 children, six boys and six girls. The first, Henry A., was
  born in 1859 in Batesville, Indiana. The others were all born at Woodbine. William, born in
  1861, died during the typhoid febver epidemic in 1887. The other ten and the year of their
  birth are: Sophia Mary, 1862; Minnie, 1863; John F., 1865; Albert C., 1866; Edward F., 1869;
  Anna M., 1870; Louis c;., 1872; Caroline C., 1875; Rosa A., 1878; and Agnes E., 1881.
