Elsie Timm, born February 23, 1918, daughter of Albert and Ida Timm, moved
  into Woodbine from a farm east of town in 1950 into the Bob McCoy house.
       She attended Woodbine Grade and High School and one year of post graduate
  work. Elsie took a secretary of business course from Commercial Extension of
  Omaha, Nebraska. Elsie worked at Woodbine Elevator during harvest and also
  worked at Herington Army Airfield.
       In 1944 she started Civil Service work at Ft. Riley and worked ten and
  one-half years.
       She was married to Dr. King Young in May of 1970. They lived in Woodbine
  until he died on February 24, 1975.
       Dr. Young was born November 25, 1890 in San Francisco, California. He
  graduated from the University of California, Berkley in 1915. He received a 
  degree as physician-surgeon and practiced in San Francisco, Hays and Wichita
  prior to comning to Woodbine. He was married to Anna Luker in 1919. She died
  in 1967.
       When moving to Woodbine, retiring from his practice he made gardening his
  hobby. He loved flowers. He had two daughters and a son by his first marriage.
