Rocky Glen -- Chase County | Kansas One Room School House Project

I am attaching a picture of the Rocky Glenn School dated 1896. This picture belonged to my Grandmother Mary Etta Greenwood Crouthers. She has listed the names of the students and written on the back of the picture. Rocky Glenn School between Cottonwood Falls and Elmdale. A seven family school. Della Beck was the school teacher, her husband owned the Beck Hotel in Cottonwood. They adopted 4 boys. She lists the children. Back row left to right. Wilbur Beck, Featherkile Boy, Clida Goodman, Mary Greenwood holding little niece Mary Linsea, Hulda Snyder and Ethel Webster. Second row left to right Clyde Goodman, Featherkile Girl, Snyder Girl, Nellie Greenwood, Clyde Beck. Front row left to right Baier Boy, Baier Girl, Nora Greenwood, Mabel Webster, Baier Girl and Inez Webster. Hope you can add this to your list of old schools of Kansas.
