Unknown -- Douglas County

The Kansas Heritage Server would like to thank Joyce Abney (Ajma36@aol.com), daughter of Lucille Campbell Thompson, for contributing this information.

I have this picture that my cousin loaned me and I scanned it. She said that her dad Frank Campbell said that he and Blanche Campbell were in the picture. They are my mother's brother and sister.

I sent you a picture on my mother Lucille, and her sisters, Stella, and Blanche at the Columbia School, in Douglas Co. I also believe this one was in Douglas Co., but there is no information on the picture.

I know that they lived in Douglas Co. and I believe this was earlier than the other picture because Blanche is younger in this picture.

Frank is on the second row, standing, and second from the right with the cap, and Blanche is on the front row, third from the left.

I don't know if you can use it or not since we don't know the name of the school. I can resize it if you can use it.

I forgot to tell you that the picture that I sent you belonged to Carol Campbell, Frank Campbell's daughter. Frank was born in 1904 and Blanche in 1908, so I think this could be about 1913-1914. On the 1910 census, they lived in Eudora Township, Douglas County, and in 1920 they lived in Willow Springs Township.

I only wish we had some stories to go with the pictures. Too bad they are all gone.
