BWAKA - about us

Introduction

We hope to accomplish three goals in our genealogy pages:

These pages will only be a success with your help. If you are an enrolled Potawatomi and have been working on your family tree, we would be very glad if you would send it to us so that we can add it to our website. If you have a family story that you think would interest others in our Potawatomi family, whether it is the story of one particularly interesting ancestor or of several generations, please write it down and send it to us.

I'd like to introduce you to Susan Campbell, who has prepared and will be developing these pages. On our "How to Start" page (the link is below) she will tell you about her researching adventures, and how to get started in genealogy, if that is your interest.

You may also want to take a look at the genealogy sources and Internet sites she has assembled, some historical lists of members of several bands, and our Potawatomi family trees and family stories.

Please send any correspondence about our genealogy materials, including your family trees and stories, as well as suggestions about genealogy sources and sites that you think others would find useful to Susan. Her email address is nokmis@yahoo.com and the post office finds her at
