  George Edward FULLER

July 28, 1856 George Fuller was born in Ashland, NewaygoCo, MI.
August 12, 1862 George Fuller (age 6) saw his father, George M.
FULLER, volunteer to defend his country leaving his mother, Emily
(SMITH) FULLER, with him and the other children at home.
1872 George Edward FULLER (age 16) started his career as a
  lumberman--sometimes as a chopper--sometimes on the rollway--
  sometimes hauling logs.
1880 George Edward FULLER (age 21), a laborer, was living with
Eugene Kepler, a lumberman, and 16 other men in Sheridan
  Township, Newaygo County, Michigan.
While serving as foreman in the lumber camp on the David SQUIER
farm, he met his future wife, Ida May SQUIER (David SQUIER's
niece), who was a school teacher and was staying at her Uncle's
  home.
1882 George Fuller (age 26) he came to Mill Creek Township,
Washington County, KS and purchased an 80 acre farm. He had
followed some neighbors from Michigan, the McCollum brothers. He
stayed with a family named Creighton and was employed by Mr.
James Creighton who lived near the McCollums.
1883 George Fuller returned to Michigan.
November 7, 1883 George Edward FULLER married Ida May Squier at
  Muskegon, Michigan.
1883-1884 They resided at Michigan for a short time.
Feb-Mar 1884 George Edward and Ida May (Squier) FULLER and
(brother) Loyal Parm and Mabel (Applegarth) FULLER came to Mill
Creek Township (Morrowville), Washington County, Kansas and
settled on farms in the neighborhood of the Grandview School
District No. 144. George and Ida lived on what was called the
  McCormick place.
  May 1884 George FULLER purchased the W1/2 of NE1/4 - Sec. 13 -
2S-2R not far from where they lived. This land was prairie --
virgin Blue Stem sod, no improvements, not a fence or anything.
They had to give possession of the McCormick place, so they moved
into a little boarded-up shack. George FULLER, being handy at
carpentry and having had some experience, started a new house on
  their new real estate.
  February 1911 George Fuller sold the W1/2 of NE1/4 - Sec. 13 -
  2S-2R.
1911 They moved to Cherryvale, Montgomery County, KS and lived on
a 200 acre farm one mile north of town (Route 4 on Liberty Street
Road). The five younger children attended school in Cherryvale.
1919 George Edward and Ida May FULLER moved to and owned a home
in north La Junta, Otero County, Colorado.
1923 During their residency there, they had a "modern" hen-egg
  operation.
1929 George Edward and Ida FULLER moved back to Cherryvale,
Montgomery County, Kansas. The farm near Cherryvale had two
residences, a large two-story frame house and a small tenant
house. When he was no longer able to operate the farm himself,
George and Ida moved to the small house where they lived until
they sold the farm in 1945.
August 1945 George and Ida (SQUIER) FULLER moved to Lawrence, Douglas County, Kansas to live with their two widowed daughters, Nellie and Alta.

February 26, 1946 George Fuller (age 89) died at Lawrence,
Douglas County, Kansas; buried in Fairview Cemetery, Cherryvale,
  Montgomery County, Kansas.
July 28, 1947 Ida May (Squier) FULLER died at Lawrence, Douglas
County, Kansas; buried in Fairview Cemetery, Cherryvale,
  Montgomery County, Kansas.
