The STEP (Striving to Ensure Progress) FOUNDATION was formed in late 1993 to promote the betterment of the Seneca and Nemaha County community. It is a non-profit organization whose main purpose is to receive, administer and disburse funds for both charitable and educational purposes.

These funds come essentially from individuals, memorial contributions and bequests. Gifts can be either undesignated as to purpose or may, within a reasonable latitude, be designated for a specific purpose. Gifts and memorials can be made as follows:

Cash Gifts -- made in any amount at any time

Memorial Gifts -- made in cash in any amount as a memorial to deceased persons

Testamentary Gifts -- made by bequest contained in the Last Will of supporters of the Foundation for any of its purposes

Gifts in Kind -- in the nature of personal property of value such as crops, works of art, and other acceptable assets.

Gifts of Real Estate -- made either outright or conditionally.

Gifts of Securities

Gifts of Life Insurance -- in a number of ways.

Trusts as Gifts -- provide many attractive arrangements for benefiting the Foundation as well as tax planning.

The STEP Foundation solicits gifts, large or small, for the benefit of Seneca and Nemaha County, Kansas.
